THE BUCKINGHAM CONDO BUILDING
There are 48 units in this condo building which have four different floor plans from which to make your selection. Each has a living/dining room: the variation occurs with the number of bathrooms, bedrooms, and the size of the kitchen. The smallest is the BARTLETT with one bedroom and one bath. The CHAMPLAIN also has one bedroom (with a large walk-in closet), and has one and a half baths. The HUDSON has two bedrooms (master has a large walk-in closet, and the second has a wall closet), two complete bathrooms: one has two entrances and has a large walk-in shower, and its master bath has a tub/shower combination. The largest is the corner model unit, the LASALLE, that also have two bathrooms and two bedrooms, but the square footage is larger. All have one or two linen closets plus kitchen pantries, plus each unit has its own utility room with a stackable washer/dryer!
There is an elevator that goes to a heated under ground parking facility, where each unit has an assigned parking space. There is additional guest parking in the adjacent lot.;
Each unit has its own balcony that contains an attached, exterior storage structure as well as an additional interior hallway locker.
The units that face the west have a golf course and pond views, and, in the distance, Carillon properties form the backdrop: these units were originally more expensive because these were premium views! The east side of the building sees the driveway, the parking lot, club house, and the surrounding Carillon neighborhood communities. There are four floors in this building: the higher the floor, the more expensive its price!
The balconies were stripped and painted in 2005, as well as new hallway carpeting was replaced on all of the floors! A new roof was installed in 2007, and a special assessment was issued. (Each unit has paid its share!) In addition, as part of the normal association dues, the interior of the building was painted, and new lounge furniture was purchased also during the latter part of 2008.
The exterior of the building is beautifully landscaped. Appropriate seasonal decorations are found on the exterior as well as in the interior of the building. Beautiful flowers are planted in the spring and summer; and pumpkins and cornstalks, etc., decorate the building in the fall. Christmas lights, deers, trees, greet entrants for the winter holiday season! Even the lobby and hallways are seasonally decorated!
Throughout the community, there are pick-up points to go shopping: the bus always stops at the Buckingham Building. On every Tuesday the bus goes to the local grocery stores: either to Jewel or to Dominick's. Then on Thursdays, the local shopping malls are visited: Yorktown, Lewis-Joliet, Fox Valley, Meijer, Wal-Mart, or the Bolingbrook Promenade. On Saturdays, the bus goes to St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The club house is within walking distance, just 0.1 mile, and on Sundays there is an interfaith service held in the main room of the Carillon Club House.
Throughout this active 55+, secure, gated community, every association decorates its entrances for every season & holiday. The condo building is always EXTRA SPECIAL! Who could resist moving into this attractively decorated building?
Come join the fun!
