Life’s Gems

I have been fortunate in that I have received very special E-mails which have contained “information” that I would like to pass-on to you.  I have these “gems” classified into five categories to make accessing them easier as these divisions, hopefully, will grow.  “INSPIRATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, AMUSING, MOTIVATIONAL, and ENTERTAINING” are the classifications I have chosen. These various Internet gems have amused, entertained, stimulated, enlightened, and enriched my life; and I hope that they will do the same for you.

We would appreciate receiving whatever has touched you.  (Later, we will give you an address where you can send your “gems.” We also will need to know if you wish to receive credit or remain anonymous.)

I am most grateful to my brother, Dr. Ronald J. Pancner, M.D., for launching this dialogue of sharing. Both of us can not escape our “calling” to teach, educate, & make a positive impact on others;  for life is a journey of sharing, educating, and helping one another.

It seems appropriate to end this introduction by sharing a verbal gem, that came from my mother, which motivated both my brother & myself to realize our dreams, attain our goals, & fulfill our aspirations.  My immigrant mother’s gem was as follows: “You can lose everythingbut you can’t lose an education.”  (These words seem especially relevant now!) Thank you, Mom & Dad, for your insights, guidance, the courage you always displayed in facing adversity, the survival skills you taught us,  & simply by your example, you motivated us to become compassionate human beings as well as contributing members to society. Dekuji, Maminko a Tatinku!
